How to Translate Modern English to Runes?
It should be said at the outset that the modern English alphabet contains
26 letters whereas the runic Elder Futhark only contained 24 characters
several of which represented sound combinations rather than individual
letters. Hence there is no easy or universally agreed way to transcribe
modern the English alphabet into runes.
