Three types of information are provided here for the use of webmasters of different sites. These are

People who run a website and want to link to the Rune School
Those who want to know about the design and technical aspects of the Rune School
Webmasters who have a concern about a link provided to their site from the Rune School.

Linking to the Rune School Website

As our Copyright and Linking policy makes clear - go ahead. We have no problem with anyone linking to any page within the Rune School (including so called deep linking) since all our pages carry our logo and information. You do not have to ask our permission. The web is designed to make linking easy and we positively encourage linking and the free exchange of information across it.

One request though For convenience we have a variety of different URLs and domains available, please however only form links to pages on the http://www.runeschool.org domain which is our official published address.

Links on the Rune School Website

The Rune School site contains links to many other sites. As stated in our Copyright and Linking policy we will break any link if requested to do so by the owner or webmaster of any website. Such a request should be in writing and either sent by email from the address given on the site as contact information, or a page put up on the site asking for the link to be broken and the URL emailed to us from any email address you have access to.Any such request received will be dealt with within 24 hours (other than at weekends).

Technical Details of the Rune School Website

The Rune School webmaster is Os. Our site is based in the USA and held on Linux servers running Apache. Most of the site is standard HTML though some pages are dynamically generated using Perl, mainly those related to students and particular processes such as registration. The site is kept under constant review though other than to correct errors no changes will be made to the introductory rune course until the next version of it is launched. There are currently about 110 pages to the site using 120 graphics. All pages are designed according to our Style Guide.
