As an independent non-profit organisation, the Rune School depends on the assistance of others in various ways. We have major plans for the coming years but in order to put them into operation, and so enable us to improve the range of services we offer, we have to ask the School's visitors, students and supporters to help us. There are various ways in which you can show your support for the School, helping us to maintain and develop the site. These break down into two main categories, practically or financially

Financially

We have launched an appeal to raise around $1000 dollars in 2002 in order to finance our new courses and help us maintain current ones. It is a mistake to think the courses here are free, currently students may not pay for them but we do. One of the principles of the runes is that a gift requires a gift and on that basis we would ask if you enjoy the site to give something back. Either directly by a donation or by buying goods from one of companies with which the School has an associate agreement and therefore receives a small percentage from each sale. For instance buying books from Amazon.com.

Practically

The School website is large and getting ever larger and it is proving a considerable effort for one person to maintain. Accordingly we are looking for Assistant Webmasters to help us code and develop the site. Alternatively, if you have graphic design or programming (Perl/Javascript/PHP) skills, offering these abilities directly would reduce our need to buy in these services. Contact .

If your expertise lies with the runes rather than with code then know that we always need assistance with the writing of new topics, with researching new links and contributing to the content of lessons. If you have at least five years practical experience with the runes, along with extensive reading, then join us as a member of staff of the School.
